Safety is of principal importance. It is essential that we at Heller Petroleum Company Limited conduct our operations in such a way as to protect the safety and health of our employees, contractors and all those affected by our activities in Procurement, storage and Selling of Petroleum Products.

Heller Petroleum Limited Company management requires the active commitment to and accountability for, Health and Safety from all employees and contractors. The management has a leadership role in the communication and implementation of, and ensuring compliance with, Health and Safety policies and standards. We are committed to;

  •  Prevent and minimize work injuries, lost work days or work related illnesses of our employees, customers and nearby communities
  •  Develop and follow efficient safety procedures and standards;
  • Set Health and Safety performance objectives, measure results, assess and continually improve processes through use of an effective health and safety management system;
  •  Identify, evaluate and manage hazards and risks involved in our operations;
  •  Ensure that our employees are properly trained to work safely and to ensure that they know how to act in an emergency;
  •  Emphasize safety and health concerns both on and off work sites;
  •  Report all safety related incidents and investigate and analyse them to prevent recurrence; and
  •  Perform a regular audit of our operations and full compliance with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which we subscribe and relate to.

 

We shall be regularly reviewing this policy to ensure ongoing suitability. The commitments listed are in addition to our basic obligation to comply with international Standards, as well as all applicable local laws and regulations where we operate. This is critical to our business success because it allows us to systematically minimize health and safety; incidents, accidents and ill health and related consequences.
